ISLAMABAD: The rates of sales tax on domestic supply of petroleum products has been reduced according to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by May 01,2021. The FBR has amended S.R.O. 57(I)/2016 (sales tax on petroleum products) through a notification S.R.O. 557 (I)/2021 issued on Monday. According to the notification, the standard rate of 17 percent would remain applicable on Motor spirit and High-speed diesel oil from May 1. KARACHI: Pakistan has achieved a new record in its Exports history by exporting high quantity of kinnows during 2020-2021. A significant demand of Pakistani kinnow in pandemic is observed to strengthen the immune system against the coronavirus. 30% increase in export of kinnow during 2020-2021. RAWALPINDI: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday applauded the Chinese ambassador for his country’s contribution to Pakistan’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday commended the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) efforts on achieving growth of 57 percent in April 2021 with revenue collections recorded at Rs382 billion, compared to Rs240 billion in April last year.
