Open market rates, recorded across multiple currency counters, increased to a range of 298 to 303.
By the market close, the Pakistani rupee depreciated by 1.04 percent, settling at 291.51 after losing Rs. 3.02 against the US dollar today.
On the informal currency exchange market, the cash rate per dollar in Hundi ranged from 305 to 309. Additionally, there were reports from various sources suggesting rates as high as 310, though these were not officially documented.
