Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to address the nation today as political tensions grow ahead of a vote of no confidence in the premier.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed told the media that the prime minister would address the public later today after an extraordinary meeting of the federal cabinet.
Earlier today, the premier declared that he would give “written proof” of the letter he claims includes evidence of a foreign plot against the government to leading journalists and PTI loyalists, in order to quiet his opponents who have called the news of the letter “a theatre.”
After the news, Rasheed stated that Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has invited ten journalists to see the letter today.
“Politics has begun,” he remarked, adding that the vote on the motion of no confidence will take place on April 3.
