Emirates has decided to cancel all “flights from Pakistan to UAE “till July 28,2021.Also airline advises passengers whose flights had been affected by these restrictions to hold on to their ticket until the ban due to “delta variant” removed.
Furthermore Emirates has extended the suspension of flights from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka till July 28 due to fourth wave of Covid-19 also named as Delta Variant by the government of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Earlier this month, Emirates had suspended flights from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka till July 15 from 14 countries including Pakistan.
“UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas and members of diplomatic missions who comply with updated Covid‑19 (Delta Variant) protocols, are exempted and may be accepted for travel,” it said.
Passengers whose flights had been cancelled or affected by the suspension of certain routes due to” Delta Variant” pandemic-related restrictions could “hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with us or booking office to make new travel plans,” the airline advised.
However, it said cargo flights as well as business and charter flights would be exempted from the suspension.
The foreign ministry and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority stressed that, with the start of the travel season, citizens need to comply with all precautionary and preventive measures related to Covid-19 (delta variant), state news agency (WAM) reported.
