The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed additional customs duties on the import of various types of vehicle components.
The FBR amended S.R.O. 693(1)/2006 on Wednesday with S.R.O.1930(1)/2022.
The revised additional customs duty regime would impose a duty on the import of foam seat parts, head/armrests and seat frames, air cleaner hoses, and water cooling system hoses (except turbo system hoses) for vehicles falling under the specified Pakistan Customs Tariff heading.
The additional customs duty would also apply to the import of air cleaner hoses and water cooling system hoses for vehicles (except turbo system hoses).
The additional customs duty would also apply to the import of fan pulleys for certain PCT headings, rear combination/backup lamps, rear turning indicators, plow lamps, reverse/parking lights for vehicles, ceiling/room lamps for vehicles, and wiring sets and cable sets for vehicles.

The additional customs duty would also be levied on the import of non-foamed steering wheels, as well as steering shafts for vehicles and foam seat parts for vehicles of specified PCT headings.
