ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan stated on Thursday that the date for the Islamabad long March would be announced tomorrow (Friday).

In a talk to a group of young people at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad, the ex-prime minister said he will make his appeal for the long march to Islamabad tomorrow during his address in Multan.

“The penultimate public gathering before the march to Islamabad will be in Multan. The march to Islamabad will be for true freedom, according to the PTI chairman, who also said that the “PTI’s aim of a new election is close.”

Imran Khan said, “We do not want an imported administration; we want freedom via elections.” “Until and until the Shehbaz Sharif-led government announces the date of new elections, the sea of people will not leave Islamabad.”

On April 30, deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the PTI will launch an anti-government march against Islamabad in the final week of May.

“We shall issue this appeal to all Pakistanis, not only PTI followers since Pakistan has been humiliated after a foreign force put the country’s most corrupt individuals on us,” Khan said in a video message.

Khan was deposed from office on April 10 when the National Assembly voted him out through a no-confidence resolution, making him the first prime minister to be deposed in this manner.

Khan has frequently blamed the United States for the no-confidence vote, and he has refused to recognize newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, claiming, “There can’t be any larger insult to our nation.” The charges have been refuted by the US government, which is headed by Joe Biden.

The ex-prime minister stated in his message that preparations for the long march will begin on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, and asked the young to go to the streets waving PTI flags.

Since then, the PTI has held power displays around the nation to increase pressure on the government to call new elections.
