ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index resumed its bullish trajectory on Thursday, adding 146.12 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 42,090.71 versus 41,944.59 points the previous working day.
A total of 325,716,698 shares were exchanged throughout the day, compared to 230,561,335 shares the previous day, with the share price standing at Rs 7.208 billion, compared to Rs 6.249 billion the previous trading day.
Some 350 firms traded their shares on the stock exchange, with 216 recording gains and 109 suffering losses, while the share price of 25 companies remained steady.
Hascol Petrol had 78,510,500 shares at Rs 8.34 per share, WorldCall Telecom had 33,101,000 shares at Rs 1.54 per share, and Ghani Glo Hol had 17,512,002 shares at Rs 16.59 per share.
Goodluck Industries saw the biggest gain of Rs 51.76 per share price, finishing at Rs 741.91, while Sapphire FiberXD came in second with a Rs 47.71 per share price increase to Rs 1,250.
Nestle Pakistan XD fell by Rs 120 per share to settle at Rs 5,650, followed by Sapphire Textile XD, which fell by Rs 25 to close at Rs 1,125.
