More than a dozen officers have been accepted for international posting as Trade and Investment officials in foreign embassies abroad by the Prime Minister.
PM Shahbaz Sharif authorizedPM the assignment of around 15 officers as TIO in foreign embassies overseas on Monday.
The commerce ministry suggested posting Qamar Zaman in New Delhi, Koser Ali Zaidi in Kabul, Numan Aslam in Istanbul, Arooz Mehrish in Paris, Amna Naeem in Frankfurt, Quratulain Fatima in Los Angeles, Muhammad Bilal in Brussels, Seeren Asad in Doha, Zain Aziz in Dhaka, Fahd Raza in Geneva, Dr Amir in Tehran, Ghulam Qadir in Beijing,
The appointments of TIO and Economic ministries in Geneva and Brussels, respectively, were not approved by the PM office.
Previously, the PM office requested recommendations from the Establishment division on whether or not the Commerce Ministry may make postings of grade 20 officials.
Following that, the Establishment division advised the PM office that the Commerce division might post grade 20 officials.
