In a speech on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that Western countries’ “illegal” restrictions on Russian businesses breached WTO standards and that his administration must revise Russia’s WTO policy by June 1.
There were claims by Vladimir Putin that Western nations had prevented Russia from obtaining components required to make steel, rolled metal, and other products during an industrial gathering.
Putin will preside over a meeting of the Kremlin’s supervisory board in Moscow, Russia, on April 20, 2022, as part of the presidential forum “Russia – Land of Opportunity”.
This is a breach of WTO principles, which European colleagues have consistently professed their devotion to,” Putin said.
A spokesperson for the Kremlin stated earlier today that Russia is dealing with “hostile attitudes” from “unfriendly nations,” and that Russia plans to establish a strategy to deal with it.
