The rupee Jumped to a record low of 298 as political tumult in the wake of clashes that broke out in the country following the arrests of senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The local unit fell Rs8.78, or 3.02%, against the dollar on Thursday trading at 299 in the interbank market at 1:17pm.
