Infinix has revealed the “really fast” 180W Thunder Charge Technology, which will be available on certain Infinix flagship phones in the second part of the year.
The groundbreaking new technology will allow users to charge the 4500mAh battery from 0 to 50% in only four minutes, giving customers with a quicker and safer advanced smart device charging experience.
“Infinix 180W Thunder Charge is another industry milestone that brings ultra-fast charging technology to the market,” stated Manfred Hong, Senior Product Director of Infinix.
“Infinix aspires to continue enhancing everyday efficiency via iteration and innovation of fast charging technology so that customers worldwide may be among the first to enjoy efficient and easy digital life,” he said.
Ultra-fast charging has never been more popular than it is now, and with the development of safer ways of charging at greater voltage rates, the technology is gaining traction in mid-range smartphones.
Regular smartphones with fast charging capabilities often utilise batteries with charging rates ranging from 1 to 3C, however the 180W Thunder Charge employs batteries with a charging rate of 8C, significantly reducing the risks of the battery overheating owing to the rapid charging technology.
