WhatsApp, an instant messaging platform owned by Meta, has recently added several new features for its users. Among them are instantaneous responses to messages, an increased file-sharing limit, and companion devices that allow users to access their WhatsApp conversation from devices other than their main smartphone.

he majority of these features are now available to the public, while some are undergoing beta testing by a select group of users. Now, the business has unveiled a number of new beta build features.

The first noteworthy feature is an expansion of a previously disclosed function. The messaging platform started rolling out the ability for users to conceal their last seen profile photo, status, and last seen to contacts attached to a “exclusion list” last month. Soon, users will be able to hide their online status from contacts added to an exclusion list under the privacy settings. This function is ideal for persons who don’t want to be interrupted when communicating or who are being stalked.

The delete messages option will also be modified. Previously, users may erase a message within one hour, eight minutes, and sixteen seconds after sending it. This time restriction will now be increased to sixty hours, or two days and twelve hours. This should provide users with enough time to cancel a message they accidentally sent. Administrators of a group will now have the ability to remove messages sent by any group member hiding online status and deleting messages has been extended to 60 hours.
