Heavy Monsoon Rain Expected to start from 15th July in Karachi 2021

Today The Pakistan Meteorological Department claimed about the heavy monsoon rain spell in Karachi is expected to begin from 15th July.

The Met Office said the temperature in the city was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, with winds blowing at a speed of 20 kilometres an hour.

According to forcasted weather this heavy monsoon rain will continue till 17th july

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has written to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah persuading all the stakeholders not to repeat previous years catastrophic incidents during heavy monsoon rainstorm in the city. He added that CM shouldĀ mobilise all the relevant institutions because it is the basic need for everyone.

Ismail said that saving the precious lives of the people is among the top priorities of the government. He said the clearing of the storm water drainage and the removal of encroachments on and along their banks in accordance with the Supreme Courtā€™s orders would help in taking solid measures.

He also said the K-Electric, the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company and the Sukkur Electric Power Company have been directed to take the necessary measures ahead of the heavy monsoon rain in their administration to avoid load-shedding during the spell.

Loosely-structured huts and billboards may experience damage due to dust/wind-storm, PMD officials warned.The governor shared that the cantonment boards have also been directed to deal with all after effects during heavy rain in the city. He further forced that it is the time for all the stakeholders to work jointly.
